• Geometry

No matter where you intend to go or where your inner north navigation leads you, the chrome-molybdenum steel trellis frame is built for distance, capable of bearing the load and providing comfort all day long. Because the engine serves as a stressed member, the frame is able to be light and compact. It was engineered for precise feedback, agility and light handling through the tightest bends, and it offers stability and comfort over long distances along with superior offroad ability on less-traveled tracks. Compact and light as it is, the frame is as tough as whatever challenge you hand it, hauling luggage, a passenger or both anywhere from the street to the most remote trail. The Norden 901's geometry was developed with the goal of a world class travel motorcycle for every voyage of discovery. An angled rear shock makes the seat height manageable for every adventurer. • Suspension

High on the list of what you demand from the Norden 901 are control and comfort. The WP APEX 43 mm upside-down front forks have 220 mm of travel and deliver next-level performance and comfort in every setting, whether that calls for taut handling on pavement or a smoother path offroad. Because the forks' compression and rebound damping are adjustable, you can change the ride characteristics quickly and easily to match your own preference and shifting conditions. In the same way, the WP APEX rear shock provides a generous 215 mm of travel and can be adjusted for rebound damping and spring preload to suit the roads you take and whatever you're carrying. Changing the settings is fast and simple, so you can match the suspension to conditions as they change. Thanks to the comfort and control of compliant suspension, the distance your travels take you faces fewer limits.

• Engine

Each twist of the ride-by-wire throttle provides exactly the amount of power you need to reach new horizons. Two balancer shafts in the 889 cc, double overhead cam, liquid cooled, parallel twin engine reduce vibration and increase comfort, adding to your enjoyment of the ride. Power from the engine is plentiful, with maximum output arriving at 8,000 rpm and peak torque at 6,500 rpm. Together with its finesse and manageability, this makes the engine able to deliver everything you ask of it, wherever you wish to go.
