Privacy Policy
Last updated October 10, 2026
MotoSport Hillsboro owns and runs this website. This policy explains what personal information we collect through it, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers this website only.
1. Information you give us
We collect the information you enter when you fill out a form on this website:
- Contact, quote, test ride, trade-in, service and parts requests: your name, email address, phone number, the unit or part you're interested in, details of a vehicle you want to trade, sell or have serviced (such as its VIN and mileage), and anything else you write in the form.
- Credit applications: your name, contact details, address and housing costs, date of birth, Social Security number, employer, income and down payment. With your authorization, we and our lenders also get your credit report.
- Newsletter sign-ups, surveys and job applications: the details you provide, such as your interests, your feedback, or your work history.
You don't need to give us any personal information to browse the site.
2. Information collected automatically
When you visit, our server receives the technical details every website receives: your IP address, browser and device type, the page you came from, and the pages you request.
We also keep a record of what you do on the site: the inventory searches you run, the units you open and the units you save as favorites. This is stored on our own server and is tied to a random ID in a cookie, not to your name. If you later send us a form from the same browser, we link the two so our staff can see which units you looked at and help you faster.
4. Content from other companies
Some pages show content hosted by other companies: our Facebook posts on the homepage, YouTube videos on some unit pages, and a Google map on our Hours & Location page. When that content loads, your browser connects to those companies and they may set their own cookies, under their own privacy policies:
Links to other websites, such as manufacturers' sites, are covered by those sites' own policies.
5. How we use your information
- To answer your questions and get you the quote, trade-in value, service appointment or part you asked for.
- To process credit applications and arrange financing you have asked for.
- To complete a sale, register a unit with its manufacturer, and handle warranty and recall notices.
- To send you news and offers if you signed up for them.
- To review job applications.
- To keep the website running, secure and free of abuse, and to understand which inventory and pages people find useful.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
7. Calls, texts and email
If you send us a form, we will contact you by phone, text or email about your request. We'll only send you marketing messages if you've asked for them, and you can tell us to stop at any time: reply STOP to a text, use the unsubscribe link in an email, or contact us. Message and data rates may apply to texts. We don't share your phone number with anyone for their own marketing.
8. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires. Browsing activity that was never linked to a form is deleted 180 days after your last visit. Credit applications and sales records are kept for as long as financing and record-keeping laws require.
9. Security
This website is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Social Security numbers from credit applications are encrypted when stored, and only authorized finance staff can view them; each view is logged. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access.
10. Children
This website is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us their information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, including under the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act, you may have the right to:
- find out what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- have us correct information that is wrong;
- have us delete your information;
- opt out of marketing messages, and of any sale of your information or use of it for targeted advertising or profiling (we don't do these, but you can still ask);
- get a list of the specific companies we have shared your information with (Oregon residents);
- appeal our decision if we turn down your request.
To make a request, contact us. We'll need enough information to confirm who you are, such as your name, email address and phone number, and we'll use it only for that purpose. We answer requests within 45 days and will let you know if we need more time. We won't treat you differently for using any of these rights.
Some information we must keep even if you ask us to delete it, for example to finish a sale you started or to meet legal record-keeping requirements.
12. California residents
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the rights described above. In the past 12 months we have collected the kinds of information described in sections 1 and 2 (identifiers, contact details, financial and employment information from credit applications, and browsing activity on this site), for the purposes in section 5, and shared it only as described in section 6. We have not sold personal information or shared it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use sensitive information, such as Social Security numbers, only to process the credit application it came with.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
