2026 KTM 250 XC
CROSS COUNTRY LEGENDThe KTM 250 XC leads the way in cross-country racing and defines the standard for performance. Its engine ranks among the most powerful in its class, and alongside it you get suspension tuned for precision, a refined chassis, and an airbox optimized for maximum airflow. What does that add up to? Handling that's razor-sharp, power that arrives responsively, and the capability to win races. The KTM 250 XC is more than prepared for the challenge -- it's designed to push its legendary legacy onward in the cross-country arena.
Features may include:
Before The Flag- Easy Suspension Adjustment
Like every year, setting up the suspension front and rear is simple and needs no tools, making sure you hunt down the podium with total control. At the back, riders can tune high- and low-speed settings within seconds using a dual compression option that adjusts by hand. The front forks are also easy to modify, thanks to clickers that adjust by hand at the bottom of the fork shoe and on the top cap.
Start Strong- More Usable Power
Unsurpassed power combined with lightweight construction, at its very best, is what the KTM 250 XC has always stood for. For generations, hard-core cross country racers have favored the 2-Stroke motor for its simplicity and low maintenance cost. The KTM 250 XC rolls into the pits with the same legendary performance and a low engine weight of just 52.6 lb (23.9 kg) - plus a mission to keep its benchmark status as the one to beat.
Calm Under Fire- Absolute Control
However gnarly the trail gets, complete control stays with you, owing to a frame designed around the rider that is engineered for longitudinal rigidity and that also moves rotating mass nearer to the center of gravity. The thick frame walls also boost reliability and flex characteristics, and they deliver rider feel that's unmatched. The shock mount also gives the perfect amount of anti-squat for improved traction exiting corners, while the footpegs are mounted in a position that lowers the risk of catching on roots or rocks. On top of that, forged brackets on the lower frame rails make the skid plate easy to install, too.
Hit The Big Stuff- Energy absorption
The frame is expertly crafted, hydro-formed, laser-cut, and robot-welded, and it's engineered to deliver exceptional rider feedback and straight-line stability. Beyond that, the chassis is built with specifically calculated parameters for longitudinal and torsional flex. As a result, the frame works as a kind of "shock absorber," giving a less harsh ride and, in turn, less rider fatigue across many hard laps.
Maintaining Momentum- Ultimate rigidity
A tough chain guide and chain guard can be relied on to minimize the chance of snagging on external objects - particularly in extremely muddy terrain - while cutting down dirt accumulation around the swingarm and rear sprocket. We've also changed the wiring harness's fixing points and routing for 2026, making it less susceptible to wear and damage.
