ON-ROAD CONFIDENCE- Engine
With the newest generation of LC4c engines, the KTM 390 ADVENTURE range bulks up to 399 cc, gaining more power, smoother acceleration, and a lower overall weight compared to before. Building on years of know-how in the small-engine game, the KTM 390 ADVENTURE R also brings an improved gearbox and an optimized cylinder head.
HIT THE HARD TRACK- Off-road Ready Suspension
At the front, everything stays under control thanks to a 43 mm WP APEX open cartridge fork offering 230 mm of travel, with compression and rebound that adjust in 30 easy clicks for simple tuning. Out back, a WP APEX Separate piston shock absorber with 230 mm of travel deals with any big hits. Rebound on the shock is also adjustable, via 20 clicks on the fly, and preload can be set using a tool.
SUPERIOR CONTROL- Bodywork
Distinctive KTM-style graphics and bodywork on the KTM 390 ADVENTURE range deliver excellent ergonomics along with an aggressive look drawn from KTM's vast Rally racing heritage. You can spot it in every element, from the headlight mask through to the front fender. For optimized control while standing on the pegs, the tank spoilers and rear side panels are a touch wider than the seat, and the fuel tank's shape is optimized to allow freedom of movement on tricky technical terrain. A robust engine guard also makes clear what it's for, shielding the engine and exhaust when you leave the tarmac behind for the dirt.
