• Advanced Twin-Cylinder Engine

At the heart of the MT-07 is the compact 689cc CP2 engine, a fuel-injected, liquid-cooled inline twin cylinder with DOHC. Full of fun and character, the CP2 engine delivers outstanding torque in the low to mid range as well as strong pulling power at high rpm. Its fuel injection settings are optimized to give seamless, linear throttle response, even with the throttle cracked slightly open at low rpm.

• New Full-Color 5-inch TFT Display

The 2023 MT-07 gains a newly installed 5-inch full-color TFT display with two different screen modes to choose from. The "Street" mode uses a more modern layout, combining a bar-type tachometer with digital readouts for speed and gear selection. The "Touring" mode takes a more conventional approach, placing a circular analog-style tachometer on the right side of the screen and a digital speedometer on the left.

• Advanced Twin-Cylinder Engine

Powering the MT-07 is the compact 689cc CP2, a liquid-cooled, DOHC inline twin cylinder engine fed by fuel injection. This fun, characterful engine produces outstanding low- to mid-range torque together with strong pulling power high in the rpm range. Fuel injection settings have been optimized for throttle response that is seamless and linear, even at low rpm when the throttle is opened slightly.

• Crossplane Crankshaft Concept

Inside the two-cylinder engine, the 270-degree crank of Yamaha’s Crossplane Crankshaft Concept delivers linear torque development that answers the rider’s throttle input. The CP2 engine offers excellent communication between rider and machine, and it is also light, slim and compact.

• Assertive Riding Position

A wide, tapered handlebar on the MT-07 gives an improved feeling of control and comfort across a range of rider sizes.

• Compact Frame Design

Built from high-strength steel, the MT-07's frame delivers an optimized rigidity balance for agile, nimble handling. Employing the engine as a stressed member of the chassis makes a lighter, more compact main frame design possible, which contributes to the bike's low wet weight of only 406 pounds.
