With the new generation EE 5, Husqvarna Mobility highlights its pledge to keep developing trailblazing motocross machines driven by electric power. The exciting EE 5 was already popular and versatile because of its six ride modes and adjustable seat height, and it now uses water cooling, which lengthens its running time by 30% and keeps power delivery consistent. Built with an extensive list of premium components and beautifully made to the highest standards, the EE 5 is a motocross machine in every sense, able to go up against rivals in the 50 cc fuel-powered class. Producing no notable engine noise and zero carbon emissions, the innovative EE 5 enjoys greater acceptance in places sensitive to sound emissions, which makes offroad riding far more accessible to younger riders.

• Electric motor

The EE 5 motor now uses water cooling to lengthen running time and sustain optimal performance. With this technology introduced, the cooling system has made possible a running time 30% longer without any power lost. The battery controls the water pump, which starts up whenever any ride mode is engaged. Slim and extremely compact by design, the permanent magnet motor was created specifically for the EE 5 and produces a peak power output of 5 kW, rivaling the combustion-engine competition. Its water and dust proof construction makes the electric motor largely maintenance free, while six ride modes allow power delivery to be customized according to the rider's ability.

• Battery

Housed in a robust die-cast aluminum casing, the proven Li-Ion battery supplies power to the electric motor. It holds 907 Wh of stored energy, good for up to two hours of general riding, or 30 minutes of fast-paced riding with the highest ride mode engaged. The safety and longevity of the battery pack assembly are ensured by the integrated Battery Management System (BMS).

• Charger

Fast recharging comes from an external, worldwide charger that supplies up to 900 W and plugs into any 110 or 230 Volt socket. With the charger connected directly to the battery pack, reaching an 80% charge takes only 45 minutes, while a full charge takes 70 minutes.

• Multifunctional instrument

Perfectly positioned between the seat and the steering head, the multifunctional instrument lets riders and parents check the remaining battery life with ease. In addition, six ride modes make sure children of every ability, from beginners all the way to serious racers, can run the most suitable setting, selected with the button at the bottom of the display. As an extra safety measure, a dongle under the seat can be used to 'lock' a ride mode so young riders can't activate a more powerful option.

• Safety

A roll-over sensor on the EE 5 cuts power if the bike falls or tips over. As a secondary safety feature, a wrist lanyard key also comes into play should the rider lose control. As a last layer of security, a dongle positioned under the seat lets ride modes be saved or 'locked', stopping younger riders from activating more powerful ride modes.

• Adjustable seat height

To accommodate growing youngsters, the EE 5 comes with an adjustable seat. Two easy adjustments quickly drop the standard 26.1 in (665 mm) seat height to 24.2 in (615 mm); alternatively, an additional Suspension Lowering Kit, offered as a Technical Accessory, brings the seat height down further to 21.6 in (550 mm) and lets the very smallest riders safely enjoy riding the EE 5.
