• Motor

Powering the KTM SX-E 5 is a super-advanced, fully electric permanent magnet motor with water cooling, delivering peak power of 5.0 kW and 30% more riding time than the previous version. As before, the motor's design is extremely compact and slim, a perfect match for the minimal chassis of the KTM SX-E 5. Being dust and water proof as well, it is wear and maintenance-free, and its integrated control unit (ECU) guarantees power delivery that is direct yet very controllable.

• Frame

Lightweight, high-strength Chromoly steel profiles are forged into the KTM SX-E 5 frame, which pairs maximum longitudinal stiffness with optimum torsional rigidity. The modification brings greater robustness and handling, plus a tougher mounting point for the rear shock. Made from lightweight fiberglass-reinforced plastic, the subframe can be fitted in different positions to give different seat heights. As a result, the KTM SX-E 5 is able to 'grow' alongside your young racer.

• Handlebar

Tapered NEKEN handlebars of high quality are used on the KTM SX-E 5. They allow a lock-on ODI grip to be fitted on the left, while on the right there is a throttle assembly with a vulcanized ODI grip developed specifically for the electronic drive. A further crash pad on the handlebar brace shields the rider from rough contact.

• Battery

Mounted just above the electric motor, a robust die-cast aluminum casing houses the 84 modern lithium-ion cells of the KTM SX-E 5. The result is 907 Wh of stored energy, sufficient for over two hours of riding time for a beginner and approximately 30 min of racing at full throttle, depending on terrain and conditions. Safety and longevity of the battery pack are ensured by the integrated battery management system (BMS). Charging time is shorter, with 0-80% capacity reachable in 45 minutes and 0-100% possible in just 70 minutes.

• Premium Manufacturer's Warranty

A Premium Manufacturer's Warranty is included with this motorcycle. Riders receive up to 1 year of coverage and feel the excitement of riding offroad with extra peace of mind. For the warranty to stay valid, always follow the guidelines given in your motorcycle's Owner's Manual, which include using the bike as intended and having every scheduled service completed at an authorized KTM dealer.
