• CP2 Powerplant Loaded with Torque

Across the whole rpm range, Yamaha's proven 689cc CP2 engine, a liquid-cooled, fuel-injected DOHC inline 2-cylinder, produces excellent power and performance for an exhilarating ride and a genuine supersport experience. The 270-degree crankshaft produces linear torque for thrilling acceleration and limited vibration.

• Smooth Acceleration and Linear Torque

The all-new YZF-R7 is equipped with a 270-degree crankshaft that gives a tactile sense of pulse and acceleration while keeping vibration limited. With the CP2 engine, the rider gets a direct connection between the throttle and the rear wheel that feels linear.

• The All-New A&S Clutch

Appearing for the first time on Yamaha's CP2 platform, the all-new Assist and Slipper clutch lowers the force needed at the clutch lever. That gives seamless downshifts and a controlled feel over the bike's engine braking, which helps open the supersport experience to more riders. The YZF-R7 also offers an optional Quick Shift System (QSS) for quick, smooth upshifts.

• Riding Position Built for Supersport

A carefully developed rider's triangle puts you in a riding position that is unmistakably supersport. Inspired by racing, the YZF-R7's cockpit seats you in a comfortable position that inspires confidence. A new seat and new tank covers with deep knee pockets work together to give optimal hip and knee positioning. Riders are free to shift positions and still feel firmly planted in corners, with a sturdy body hold when braking. For an aggressive riding position, the separate clip-on handlebars are placed relative to the rider's hips and the footpeg positions.

• Inverted Fork Up Front

Up front, the YZF-R7 uses an inverted 41mm KYB fork with adjustable preload, rebound and compression. Its optimized spring rates and damping settings deliver excellent front-end feel when cornering and braking.

• Digital LCD Instrumentation

On a high-contrast display, a new full-LCD instrument panel keeps the rider updated on gear position, fuel capacity, real-time and average fuel economy, water temp, the clock and more.

• Adaptive Bi-Functional LED Headlight

The all-new YZF-R7 is complemented by the iconic R-Series M-shaped intake duct and twin-eye look, along with an adaptive bi-functional LED headlight.
