Made for motocross racing, the KTM 250 SX is KTM's 250 cc two-stroke. Light weight and strong power define it, and two-strokes are simple and inexpensive to maintain. The 2025 version brings a reworked frame, revised suspension and fresh bodywork, together with KTM's electronic fuel injection for two-strokes. Riders who want a bike that's race-ready right from the showroom floor are who it's built for.
- Fuel-injected 249 cc two-stroke: a Vitesco Technologies engine management system working with Keihin EFI and a 39 mm throttle body delivers smooth, controllable power, and premix isn't needed.
- Light engine: a weight of only about 23.9 kg makes the engine a benchmark within the 250 class.
- Two selectable maps: Map 1 provides smooth, predictable power delivery, while Map 2 turns it sharp and aggressive.
- Tool-free suspension adjustment: hand clickers sit on the WP XACT AER 48 mm fork, and the WP XACT shock offers high- and low-speed compression that adjusts by hand.
- Updated chassis: a 25CrMo4 steel frame, hydroformed, matched with a reinforced subframe of aluminum/polyamide.
- Race hardware: electric start, Brembo hydraulics for both the clutch and brakes, a DDS clutch, a Neken handlebar, Excel rims and triple clamps machined by CNC milling.
